It's beginning to look a lot like a vineyard........Yes!  With all the rain and warm temperatures the grape vines are growing fast and the grapes are larger than the size of a pea. But the bad news is we had a hail storm a week ago and it will reduce the size of the crop by 50% or more.  From my experience from the hail storm in 2007 the damage grapes turned brown and became hard and it didn't seem to affect the wine.  Our wine in 2007 was very good, but the production was low.  So I guess we will have to wait and see what happens this year.

Now the BIG NEWS. The Winter Wine is finished and now available at the Tasting Room at the Vineyard.  The production is limited (only 60 bottles) and the cost is the same as last year at $45.00.   If you want us to reserve a bottle for you let me know asap.

And more BIG NEWS...check out the Grape Stomp site: http://www.redtrailvineyards.com/grape-stomp.php

This year we are selling tickets in advance for $15.00, which will save you $5.00 off the gate price of $20.00.  This includes all the entertainment throughout the day. WOW! What a deal! You can purchase those advance tickets online at our website and soon at some of the local businesses. Stay tuned for those locations.  The Grape Stomp Competition begins at 5:00 and is limited to 20 teams.  So if you want to get your stomp on this year, make sure you arrive early to register.  This years Festival / Grape Stomp is on Saturday, August 20, 2011 with gates opening at 1:00 PM.
